Birthday Parties

 

Celebrate your birthday in style at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum! For children 3 - 12 years old; three options are available on weekends during our operating season from March 1 through November 22 in 2008; Grand Junction Depot Deli, Greenville Dining Car, or in the Grand Junction outdoor picnic area. Each party includes a free ride on the Missionary Ridge Local (info) for the birthday child.

Minimum 10 paying persons required for all parties; advanced registration required. The train ride is approximately 45-55 minutes in length. The walking tour through the train display yard and video presentation are option. Allow 1 hour for your party in the deli or dining car.

Party Option #1: Grand Junction Depot Deli Party

  • $25 minimum prepayment required.
  • You may bring a birthday cake, but please do not bring other food or beverage items in the deli as they are not permitted.
  • Food service includes: hot dog, coke, chip& ice cream for $4.75 per person.

Party Option #2: Greenville Dining Car Party

  • $40 per hour use of Greenville car --- $40 minimum prepayment required.
  • You may bring your own party food to the dining car.

The car has 12 tables, each having 2 built-in cushioned seats per table.  Folding chairs are provided to supplement the built-in seating.  A window air conditioner with cool and heat is used to knock the the edge off outdoor temperatures.  Additional electricity is not available and outside light illuminates the car's interior through many large picture windows. The car remains stationary and is parked adjacent to Grand Junction Station.
