Tennessee Valley RAILFEST

The Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum is inviting you to our 53rd Anniversary celebration, Tennessee Valley Railfest, September 12 & 13, 2015.  The Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum is the largest operating historical museum in the Southeast and a must visit this summer during Railfest.

A ticket to the Tennessee Valley Railfest features Missionary Ridge Local train rides, live musical entertainment, demonstrations, petting zoo, children’s activities, and plenty of food. There are activities for all ages and unique gifts to purchase for your favorite train enthusiast. New this year is a "photographer's pass" for those attendees who will be visiting to take photographs of historic equipment and do not plan on riding any trains.

What is Railfest?  It is a great opportunity to visit the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum and see the railroad history which has been preserved over the last 54 years!  Trains will be running throughout each day: Missionary Ridge Local and other special excursions.  Special exhibits and displays highlight Railfest, making it a wonderful time to visit!  The price is right: Only slightly more than the standard trip rate!  Visit during Railfest and enjoy equipment not normally open for inspection, operating model railroads, magic shows, live music, moon walk, coloring pages, play tables, petting zoo, pony rides (slight additional charge), blacksmith demonstrations, and more.  Festival food vendors will be present to make sure you don't go hungry!  Trains will be everywhere - both at TVRM and on the adjacent Norfolk Southern line.  Plenty to see and do!

Free Railfest parking is available at TVRM’s parking lots off Hwy 153 at Jersey Pike at 4119 Cromwell Road.
