Tennessee Valley RAILFEST

The Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum is inviting you to our 52nd Anniversary celebration, Tennessee Valley Railfest, September 7 & 8, 2013.  The Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum is the largest operating historical museum in the Southeast and a must visit this summer during Railfest.

 

A ticket to the Tennessee Valley Railfest includes, 2 days of live entertainment, train rides, demonstrations, petting zoo, children’s activities, and plenty of food. There are activities for all ages and unique gifts to purchase for your favorite train enthusiast. 

 

What is Railfest?  It is a great opportunity to visit the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum and see the railroad history which has been preserved over the last 52 years!  Trains will be running throughout each day: Missionary Ridge Local and other special excursions.  Special exhibits and displays highlight Railfest, making it a wonderful time to visit!  The price is right: Only slightly more than the standard trip rate!  Visit during Railfest and enjoy equipment not normally open for inspection, operating model railroads, magic shows, live music, train bounce, coloring pages, play tables, petting zoo, pony rides (slight additional charge), blacksmith demonstrations, and more.  Festival food vendors will be present to make sure you don't go hungry!  Trains will be everywhere - both at TVRM and on the adjacent Norfolk Southern line.  Plenty to do and see! 

 

 

Free Railfest parking is available at TVRM’s parking lots off Hwy 153 at Jersey Pike at 4119 Cromwell Road.

 

Daily/Weekend Admission:  $20.00 adult/$15.00 child
