
Missionary Ridge Local trips begin at the Grand Junction Station and take passengers along one of the original railroad lines in Chattanooga, crossing four bridges and passing through pre-Civil War Missionary Ridge Tunnel, which was completed in 1858.
Experience a longer trip on Saturdays as you ride the Chickamauga Turn from Chattanooga to Chickamauga, Georgia, and back. This trip lasts approximately 6-1/4 hours and includes a 1-3/4 hour layover in Chickamauga, and a shorter layover at Wilder Tower in Chickamauga-Chattanooga National Military Park during the return trip to Chattanooga.
Summerville Steam Specials are all-day excursions to Summerville, Georgia, offered primarily on weekends during the autumn season, but with a possibility of additional trips throughout the year. A monthly dinner train runs on select Saturday evenings as well as around Valentine's Day and Christmas.

Take an extended day-trip excursion through the lower Hiwassee River Gorge, over the Hiwassee Loop, and on to the joint cities of Copperhill, TN, and McCaysville, GA. Total 94 miles roundtrip. Have lunch on your own during the layover before returning to Etowah.
Halloween Eerie Express trains depart from Tennessee Valley Railroad's Grand Junction Station for a fun filled round-trip journey. Passengers begin by boarding a vintage train for a trip over four bridges and through Missionary Ridge Tunnel. Once arriving at the Funhouse Station, riders disembark and enter the Funhouse area.
The Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum operates special Holiday Dinner Trains for the Christmas season. The trips will include a four-course dining experience on board a restored 1924 dining car. The excursion trains will depart from Grand Junction Station at 6:00 pm in the evening.
One of our most popular annual events, North Pole Limited train rides have been a family tradition since 1999. During the magical holiday season, trains take riders on an imaginary journey to the North Pole. Along the way, you'll be treated to refreshments, storytelling, and sing-a-longs.
