Saturdays ~ October 3, 10, 17& 24 and November 7 & 14 (2009)
Come ride the 41st annual Autumn Leaf Special and experience a travel experience straight from the “Golden Age of American Railroading.”
Powered by an authentic full-sized steam locomotive, #610, the vintage train follows an 100-mile round trip route from Grand Junction Station [directions, info] in Chattanooga to Summerville, Georgia; passing through the towns of Rossville, Chickamauga, Rock Spring, Noble, LaFayette, and Trion, Georgia. Fall colors throughout the rural countryside and along Lookout Mountain are usually a highlight outside the train while a dining car luncheon, complete with chinaware, is served inside dining car “Travelers Fare.”
Please note that smoking, alcoholic beverages, and pets are NOT allowed on any train. Thanks for your cooperation.
