Autumn at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum (TVMR) this year was nothing short of spectacular. As the leaves changed into their vibrant hues of red, yellow, and orange, we relaunched our beloved train journeys back to the historic towns of Chickamauga and Summerville, much to the delight of our passengers. These historical rides through the heart of autumnal landscapes were definitely among the season’s highlights.
One of the most thrilling events we hosted was the Halloween Eerie Express. Our guests, donning imaginative and elaborate costumes, transformed the experience into the best one yet. The creativity and enthusiasm brought a joyful spirit that made the event a memorable ride for all.
As the Hiwassee region continues to amaze with its soaring landscapes, we’ve watched the fall leaves begin their dance to the ground—a mesmerizing sight for those aboard the Hiwassee River Railroad. Each journey through this corridor of natural beauty reaffirmed the importance of preserving and appreciating our surroundings.

As we transitioned from the colorful embrace of fall to the cozy festivities of the upcoming holidays, we introduced our Christmas Tea and launched the first of our sold out Christmas Dinner trains this weekend, setting the perfect tone for the holiday season.
